Janne Eraker

Our interview with Oslo-based tap dancer, educator, and professional improviser, Janne Eraker. She plays with multiple groups throughout Norway and Europe, including One Small Step, Øy, and her own band, the Janne Eraker Ensemble. In 2023 she released a groundbreaking album, entitled "Movements for Listening", where she collaborates with 12 different musicians, creating pieces that are a mix of fully improvised and experimental compositions. We talk to her about her album and projects, her approaches to improvisation and recording, and the scene in Europe. Janne Eraker: https://www.janneeraker.com/ ...
