Jawid is living in Indonesia as a refugee for more than six years. originally, he is from Afghanistan. In this episode, he shares his experience that what illness refugees are challenging while staying in Indonesia. In part, of his talk, he says that at the beginning refugees were suffering from skin problems because the weather of their origin country and Indonesia are much different. also, the shelter where refugees were living was a poor hygiene environment, like there were one toilet and bathroom for more than 100 refugees in an accommodation. Due to that when one refugee was affected by any skin problems and they have spread around to other refugees who were living around him.
But nowadays refugees are suffering from mental health like in each accommodation many refugees are under psychologists or psychiatrists monitoring. and are using medicines and due to using more medicines many refugees are challenging with a stomachache and that is why refugees do not do any daily activities or sport and spending their time inside their own rooms.
According to Jawid, the permanent solution is to get resettlement. and refugees have to priorities their health and do sport to stay healthy and optimistic.
