Reflections on Art Episode 4 - "The Lives of the Artists: Part I"

We are pleased to present a new series of episodes for the Reflections on Art podcast! Chiara Gomiselli, Tatyana Ostapenko and Melissa Corbett will be taking a wild ride through the wild world of art history by looking at many of the stereotypes that plague the public’s perceptions of the lives of artists. The title of the new podcast series is inspired by Giorgio Vasari’s deliciously gossipy book “The Lives of the Artists” which recounts the biographies of his contemporaries, who were various Italian Renaissance and Mannerist artists. In this episode, we will be looking at the stereotypes:  The mentally ill artist: The lives and work of Vincent Van Gogh and Yayoi Kusama.  The tortured artists: The lives and work of Edvard Munch and Tracey Emin.  Make sure to like and subscribe to keep updated on our monthly podcast!
