世界的おばか映画の『オースティンパワーズ』をガチで真面目に語ってみたらこうなりました。
いや、でもね。これ意外と楽しめちゃったのよ。悔しいけど。
前回は見てもいないのにこき下ろしてたからね。反省します。
確かに今見るときっついノリはあるかもしれないけれど意外にも今の時代だからこそ響く描写もあったりして・・・・・・。
だから映画は面白いし、だから古典は面白いのよ。
オースティンパワーズを古典呼ばわりしたらいろんなところから石が飛んでくると思うけど、時代を越える人の感性ってのはやっぱりあるんだよ。
つまりは雨月物語面白いから読めってこと。

Hey folks, it’s Mako, your movie-talking podcast host.
This time I’ve got Orma from #ポケ沼 back in the studio, and we’re tackling none other than the global king of dumb comedies: Austin Powers.
Here’s the twist—we actually tried to talk about it seriously.
And, you know what? Against my better judgment… I kinda enjoyed it. Painful to admit, but true.
Last time, I trashed it without even watching. Yeah, my bad.
Sure, the gags can feel pretty dated today, but weirdly enough, there are moments that hit harder because of the times we’re in now.
That’s why movies are fun. And that’s why “classics” stay fun.
Yeah, I know—calling Austin Powers a “classic” will probably get rocks thrown at me. But hey, certain sensibilities really do cross generations.
Basically what I’m saying is… read Ugetsu Monogatari, people.
