I pitched it to Oma as “more comedy than horror,” and wow… that’s exactly what it turned out to be.
For some reason, it’s a horror movie you can totally laugh through.
So what kind of mark did Chucky leave on horror movie history?
It’s not even that scary, right?
…But you’ve gotta admit, the directing is seriously impressive.
And maybe—just maybe—the roots of what scares people are totally different between Japanese and American audiences?
