正直なところ名作のダブルパンチなので一回に収めていいのかしらって気持ちがありますが、まあ仕方ないです。
全部で７作品もあるからね・・・。
エイリアンという言葉を異形の怪物の代名詞と成長させた本作。
人々に与えた衝撃と影響力の強さには感服します。
そしてシリーズを追うごとに進化していくリプリーという女性の造形。
果たして時代と作り手は彼女に、あるいはエイリアンに何を投影したのだろうか。
回を重ねて深掘りしていこうかと思います。
まあおじさんたちの妄言なので多めにみてね。

Hey everyone, this is Mako, your movie-talking podcast host.
This time, by listener request, we’re diving into the Alien series.
For round one, it’s Alien and Aliens. Honestly, these two back-to-back masterpieces almost feel like too much to cram into one episode… but hey, we’ve got seven films to cover, so here we go.
This franchise turned the very word alien into the go-to synonym for “monster.” The shockwaves it sent through audiences, and its cultural impact, are just incredible.
And then there’s Ripley—watching her evolve across the series is a story all on its own.
What were the creators (and the times they lived in) really projecting onto her? Onto the Xenomorphs?
We’ll dig deeper as the episodes roll on.
But remember—it’s just two middle-aged guys riffing, so cut us some slack.
