Body Positivity is the buzz word of the century, but some of the harshest comments we make are about ones body. I deep dive into my personal journey with the relationship I have with my body, how one of my first crushes kicked off my body trauma and how i'm navigating the space now. There was no BBL shade in the making of this podcast ✨
Wine Recommendation: Recently I had 2020 Mirassou Pinot Noir from California that was sooo good. It is super gentle on the pallet for those who are a little newer to red wine and has notes of red & black cherry, lush layers of fresh raspberry, strawberry jam, and pomegranate are balanced with hints of oak and vanilla. Truly one of my current favorite reds 🍷
People I Mentioned In This Podcast:
@nathaliapolanco_ - my friend who really helped me along my fitness journey ✨
@evolve.nation - the best fitness trainer i've ever trained with!

Felt like this was the perfect episode to come back with after another major hiatus. I almost cried a few times on this episode because so many of these tips are so personal to me. Getting really real about the challenges I had in my 20’s and what I’m so ready (& not…) for in my 30’s.
Wine Recommendation: I wasn’t sippin' on this episode because fitness goals...but recommending one of my current faves that i'll wait for the weekend to sip on, 2017 Marqués de Cáceres from Spain. A bold red with key notes of sweet, blackberry, blueberry and bark. Taste bold AF, strong, and tastes even better the older it gets...like the woman who recorded this podcast 😉

So she started a podcast and then went silent for like 2 months 🥴 We getting into the real life stuff... finally! Listen to me as I ramble in this episode about some of those negative thoughts we all have when going through life. Sometimes you catch yourself getting a little dark and forgetting how much light you really bring to the world. A reminder that it is okay to feel it, just don't stay there! ✨
Forgot to mention a wine in this episode because I was actually drinking coffee. But since we talking about the dark place and it is fall in NYC i'll recommend a red wine - AGUIJÓN DE ABEJA ORGANIC MALBEC 2019. Will admit off first scent and sip I didn't love, give it a minute to open up and for you to really taste it. So good 🍷

Hair can truly be an emotional roller coaster, especially for women of color. From braids to wigs, weaves to natural tresses and all the social media standards of what our hair should be/look or feel. Hair is hella personal and can mess with how you view yourself. My bestie and natural connoisseur @KelsleyNicole joined this episode with me (@lauriceimani) to talk all things hair love and how hair can impact your overall self esteem, lifestyle, and even sometimes your dating life 👀
