Redacted Island is all about getting tf out. Exitmaxxing. Escaping. I'm talking to people who break away from society—explorers, cult members, roleplayers, war reporters, libertarians, land artists, gamers, drug takers, and many more.
For over a decade, I've been asking people around the world about their general sentiment toward the future. The thing I keep hearing is that most of them dream, in one way or another, about leaving.
So I'm going to talk to the people who leave, whether it's for 30 seconds of a whippet hit or 30 years of living off-grid.
Have you ever thought about leaving? Let's go.

I first met Jeremy Kroeker in 2011 when we drove across Libya to report on Gaddafi's death. In this episode we remember that wild trip and talk about Jeremy's motorcycle adventures around the world, from Tehran to Ushuaia.
Jeremy Kroeker is a journalist, editor, and author who has been riding motorcycles in far flung places for decades. In 2003 he left his conservative Mennonite community in Canada to hit the open road. He’s been writing about it ever since. You can read more about his excursions in his books Motorcycle Therapy and Through Dust and Darkness. He also has a great Youtube channel.
