It’s time… time to have a candid discussion regarding the shame of dealing with mental health issues. Such as depression, suicide, coping, medications and more.
The shame of dealing with mental health affects more people than you know… from one of the RLMD hosts talking about her depression she didn’t even know she was in to several others talking about their family/friends suicide and coping with the overwhelming emotions associated with it to Dr. Michelle talking about how it affects inmates in the penitentiary system.
We’ve all been affected (or know someone that has been) by a mental health issue and it isn’t going away anytime soon… so we might as well have a candid discussion about it.
Hindsight is ALWAYS 20/20 but could you spot the telltale actions of someone that’s contemplating suicide? What do you do if someone reaches out expressing their desire to commit suicide? How do you help someone with depression? Are you suffering from suicide or depression yourself.
