An actress with a heart open for as many humans as she can hold, Kristen’s journey to Hollywood’s “red carpet” has become a mission of service and recognition of where she gets her inspiration. Instead of donning a built-for-her Oscar de la Renta in sunny LA, she cut a thrifted red dress into a “red carpet” she could bring to people around the world. Tune in as audio paparazzi to witness the strength and beauty of the humblest hearts and most generous humans on their “red carpet” moments. A-listers, indeed.

Welcome to the first episode of Red Carpet Humanitarian. I am your host, Kristen Leigh, and I am thrilled to have you here. In this intro, I share the origin story and my dream for this podcast.
Origins:
1. As an actress moving to Los Angeles, I started a blog: My journey to the red carpet.
#calledtoserveinLosAngeles
2. Before leaving to serve in a leprosy colony in Northern India, I cut up a thrifted red dress to create a “red carpet” I could bring to humans I felt deserved to be “seen.”
This podcast is the digital version of that red carpet. A place to marvel at the “stars” I found in the humblest of places around the world. I hope you will join me each week, and allow your heart to connect with those I have met, and see what is possible for us all as we emerge with more light.
Namaste : “The divine in me bows to the divine in you.”
“It is a serious thing to live in a society of possible gods and goddesses, to remember that the dullest most uninteresting person you can talk to may one day be a creature which, if you saw it now, you would be strongly tempted to worship... There are no ordinary people. You have never talked to a mere mortal.”
C.S. Lewis, The Weight of Glory
“Thee lift me, and I’ll lift thee, and we’ll ascend together.” - Scottish proverb
