One turning point for him was when he felt like he was not growing. He was tested and stretched but not in a fulfilling way. 

At 35, Jon asked himself what he wanted to do in the next 10 years of his life and decided to venture into something new. Not knowing if he would succeed or fail, he wanted to just try.
