Shenaz Kermalli is a Toronto-based journalist with an interest in geopolitics and human rights. She is a former producer and writer with BBC News, Al Jazeera English, and CBC News. Her work has been published in The Globe and Mail, The Toronto Star and CTV News, among others locally and in the UK. She currently teaches journalism across multiple post-secondary institutions across Canada, including Ryerson University and Humber College. In this episode we talk about what inspired her as a young girl into journalism and the passion that she continues to pursue through her writing. Shenaz also shares advice on why it is so important to be a voice of change and how one can pursue a career in journalism.
