In Chapter 32 Moses teaches the Israelites a song that warns them about what will happen if they disobey God. God also tells Moses he will see the promised land, but he will not be allowed to go there. Although we might feel sad for Moses after he put up with the Israelites for 40 years, there is something we can learn from Moses. Namely that we must always do what God tells us to do. Taking matters into our own hands or doing what we want to do will not give us the best outcome. We must remember to be like Jesus and always say ‘not my will but thine be done’.
