"Viral Spiral"
Rainstorm Brainstorm, Episode 1
Time: late evening
Condition: heavy thunderstorm
Location: front porch (Austin, TX)
Guests: none
Topic: Education & Communication during CoViD-19
Narrative Abstraction: Ideas as Viruses; Viruses as Tools
During a powerful thunderstorm in the early summer of Austin TX, host Morgan Booksh reflects on the challenges which CoViD-19 poses to the schooling of his younger siblings; one in middle school and the other in high school. His brainstorm meanders on to ponder the viral nature of how humans share information online. He wonders if we might be spiraling into an era of rapid transcendent evolution wherein we intentionally create foundational systems for something like a 'Brain Conscious' to accompany the 'Body Conscious.'
Chuckling to himself, he laments the upcoming brain-storm that CoViD-19 will bring to our culture, and relishes the rainstorm unfolding presently in his midst. Thus, the titular episode of the RSBS is conceived.
As his thoughts wind down for the evening he spots a bug on the wall taking shelter from the rain.
it reminds him of something he saw in a movie once...
