SEASON 3, EPISODE 3: Peer Support: the male perspective
Season 3 provides an insight into the male perspective of having cancer at a young age and offers a balanced representation to explore how different genders experience similar situations or challenges.
In this episode we introduce you to Stuart, Ramsay and Robbie as they discuss the benefits of peer support and the relationships with other young people who can relate to their own experiences. They explore the misconception that meeting other young people with cancer and attending peer support events would be sad, and recognise the value in opportunities to meet other young people at different stages in the cancer experience. They recognise that while they receive support from their peers, they are also able to offer that same support to others. In addition, they also acknowledge the importance of consistent support from non-cancer peers.
Season 3 is sponsored by the Beatson Cancer Charity Home | Beatson Cancer Charity and is recorded by Go Radio in Glasgow Go Radio | 90's 00's & Now | Number 1 for Glasgow & The West (thisisgo.co.uk)
