For Muslims, civic engagement is getting out there and fighting for issues that they hold dear to them and infusing them with their values and how they act upon them by simply being Muslim. On this episode, Dr. Aminah McCloud and Imam Fredrick alDeen discuss using civic engagement per the model of prophet Adam, as mentioned in the Quran, and his role as an educated person to participate on earth (i.e. becoming civically engaged). They further discuss what kind of knowledge civic engagement tells you to possess in order to be an effective citizen where you are in order to influence society in any positive way.
