Preventing Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder
Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) is a lifelong disability but is fully preventable. GPs can play an important role in the prevention of FASD through primary and secondary prevention strategies. This podcast will provide an overview of the impact of alcohol during pregnancy. Prevention strategies such as conversations around pregnancy and alcohol, screening, detection and raising community awareness will be discussed.
