He was known by his friends in motorsport as 'Lionheart'.

Dan Wheldon famously won the 2005 Indycar Series Championship, but in 2011 he was only racing sporadically. And it later ended in tragedy.

At the Indy 500 however, the most amazing result arrived out of nothing... at the final corner.
