In today’s episode of Qur’an in a Year+, we reflect on verses 103 to 113 of Surah An-Nisā’, a section that unites remembrance, resilience, and justice.
Allah commands believers to remember Him in every state, for dhikr strengthens the heart through fear, fatigue, and life’s daily struggles. Even in pain, the believer endures with hope in Allah’s reward, knowing that every act of worship is a sign of divine favor.
The passage also recounts the story of Tuʿmah ibn Ubayriq, revealing that justice must rise above tribe, loyalty, or emotion. Defending wrong, even out of love or bias, is itself a betrayal of the soul.
In the end, Allah reminds us that betraying others is betraying ourselves, for our souls are a sacred trust, and true strength lies in remembering Him, staying hopeful, and standing for truth.
