Ep. 241 Sudha Sai

Sudha Sai is a contemporary Indian-American singer-songwriter based in Philadelphia, PA. She seamlessly blends the modern-day Pop, R&B, and Bollywood styles with hints of classical South Indian vocals and acoustic and electric guitars to render an ethereal and imaginative ambiance to your familiar and beloved tunes. Unique in the resonance of her vocal texture and lyrics, Sudha Sai brings to light a fresh take on the depth of the shared emotional experiences of the South Asian diasporas around the world.

Her musical journey began in early childhood with training in the Carnatic Indian classical vocal style. She then branched out to learn to play piano, sing in choirs, sing and arrange for a cappella groups, and eventually taught herself a little guitar to accompany her vocals. Sudha has released several original Indian-American fusion-style singles in the past year. She looks forward to collaborating with some of her favorite artists shortly and performing in India this winter.
