Hosted and created by Logan Partridge, this podcast travels around the world, meeting people from our thriving rainbow community who are changing perceptions, resisting oppression, challenging societal norms and building community where they live.
Series 1 begins in Brazil and ends in Mexico. Along the way you will meet; the director of a LGBTQ+ Youth refuge, the founder of a ballroom/vogueing community, a trans capoeira/vogueing performance artist, queer tango dancers, lesbian and bisexual women's rights activists and community builders, the founder of a traveling queer history museum, founders of a queer activist community group and employees from a queer bookstore and community space.
Each episode we talk about why we stand up, stand out and come together for each other every day and why living your truth is the most powerful way to fight our oppressor - wherever you are in the world.

In this week's episode, we have another story, told by me, Logan, that I have taken from the original audio of a conversation with the lovely Arno and Pepe. Unfortunately, the original audio was too distorted to use so I hope my storytelling does their voices and thoughts justice!
This episode is all around queer tango! It's tango, but not as you may know it! Traditional tango is steeped in traditions; a lot of them very outdated! Queer tango does away with the rulebook and brings new meaning to the dance for people all over the world, including Arno and Pepe; who have both danced tango for most of their lives and discovered tango queer later on.
In this episode I give a brief history of tango and tango queer and I speak the thoughts of Arno and Pepe on the concept of tango queer, the community it builds and the freedom it gives to both newcomers and long-time dancers of tango.
I loved making this episode and loved meeting Arno and Pepe. Make sure you follow @tangoqueeruyu and find a queer tango group near you if it has caught your interest!
