Mr. Bingley, his sisters, and his best friend, Miss Darcy, arrive in town and cause quite a stir. From Bingley's instant attachment to the eldest Bennet child, Jane, to Miss Darcy's detestable coldness toward everyone - but especially Elizabeth - the arrival of this small party is the most exciting thing to happen in the county in ages.
