Queer Joy: being gay as in happy
Billy Lindon
10 episodes

Want more Queer Joy in your life? I'm Billy Lindon, a queer romcom writer talking to delightful creatives about how they make joy in their work and lives, from gender euphorias to sexy frivolities. Conveniently this also means we get to have a very fun time listening to interesting people talk about what makes them happy, and steal some ideas. In a homophobic world, queer joy is still a radical and hard-won act, so join me in this lovely bubble of unabashed pleasure, to stubbornly celebrate the many wonderful parts of being in this incredible community.

What DO Girls Want? with Roxy Bourdillon

Happy Pride Month YES STILL! Thank you to Roxy, the memoirist and editor-in-chief at Diva Magazine, for prompting me to temporarily resuscitate the Queer Joy podcast to talk about her book WHAT A GIRL WANTS: a true story of sexuality and self-discovery. We chat about Roxy being personally targeted by Section 28, celebrate her 10-year anniversary with her partner, and dancing with massive fans (as in paper ones, not groupies).

Queer Joy shout-outs to:

  • Pink Pony Club cabaret by https://www.instagram.com/sadgirlshows/
  • Caitlin Moran's HOW TO BE A WOMAN
  • Daisy Buchanan's PITY PARTY
  • and my new name hehe :)
