Want a conversation that explores the current UK divide and brings back some positivity and hope? Tune in to the music and thoughts of Ron Singh from bhangra-rock fusion band Kissmet.
Ron grew up in Peterborough where choirs, mosque calls, reggae and temple hymns shared the same streets. From this and Ron's love of music from all cultures came Kissmet: an intensely positive and lively festival act and live show that turns thousands of strangers into a united voice.
We move from a post‑Partition family story to the craft of creating a live show that welcomes all. Ron explains the band’s spiritual work with shabads from the Sri Guru Granth Sahib and why many start the day with “Moolmanta” to create a positive mindset. We talk about kindness over cynicism, making strangers smile and being “pro together” rather than anti‑everything.
Practical takeaways include: mixing things up to create something new, simple morning intentions, choosing better mental inputs, making others smile, celebrating life and creating positive connections.
If want a conversation or new music to shift your mood and thinking, then this interview is for you..
