Episode 2: Ryan Wright, Professional Wheelchair Basketball Player with the Rhine River Rhinos
Ryan Wright is a current professional wheelchair basketball player with the Rhine River Rhinos of the German Bundesliga. Ryan began playing wheelchair basketball when he was 7 years old, and played for his hometown, Denver, until college, when he was recruited to the University of Illinois. In 2012, he was selected for the USA Under-23 Men’s National Team. After college, Ryan played 4 years with the New Trier Doneck Dolphins in the German Bundesliga. He was selected for the US Men’s National Team Roster in 2017. This spring, Ryan moved professional clubs and began a new chapter of his basketball career in Weisbaden, Germany.
