Heart Over Hype: What God Really Wants | Romans 2:29
It's not about the show—it's about the surrender. ✝️
Romans 2:29 says:
God is after hearts transformed by His Spirit—not empty rituals or religious performance. He's never been impressed by outward appearances. What matters is obedience from the heart (Romans 6:17), a heart that longs to please Him because it's been changed by Him.
️ Deuteronomy 30:6 says, “The Lord your God will circumcise your heart… so that you will love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.”
This is the promise fulfilled in Christ—a heart made new by grace, not law.
1 Samuel 16:7 reminds us, “Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
We're no longer under the law (Romans 6:14), but when our hearts are surrendered, we don't obey out of duty—we obey out of love. Because a circumcised heart doesn't just talk about God, it reflects Him.
This is true worship—not performance, but purity. Not pretense, but presence.
Let your heart—not just your words or image—be the loudest part of your faith.
