
Join us as we interview Dr Kgomotso Mokoala. Dr Mokoala is the first black woman in South Africa to be conferred a PhD in Nuclear Medicine.
She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery at the University of Limpopo and received her MMed in Nuclear Medicine at Wits in 2015. Dr Mokoala has been working as a consultant in Nuclear Medicine at Steve Biko Academic Hospital since 2017. Recently, she obtained her PhD titled "Validity of tumour hypoxia assessment using Gallium-Nitroimidazole Positron Emission Tomography/ Computed Tomography in cancer of the cervix" in 2022.
