Strain, M.D. Professor of Psychiatry, Professor of Medical Education and designated Master Teacher at the Icahn School Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.  Dr. Strain speaks about his career as a pioneer in the subspecialty of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry and his experience lecturing and teaching throughout the world.  He also discusses his innovative concepts of depression and physical disease and how they have a reciprocal connection. These ideas are elaborated in a new book that Dr. Strain edited with Dr. Blumenfield titled Depression As A Systemic Illness recently published by Oxford University Press.
