My name is Oliver Laurence,

I spent over twelve years as a police officer serving in some of the harshest environments Australia has to offer, now working as a Senior Investigator - Security, Intelligence and Crisis Management expert in London, I’ve had the chance to meet and speak with some of the men and women of law enforcement who found themselves at the frontline of the world’s most infamous investigations.

I'll chat with the men and women on the front line of events such as 9/11 to the investigation into Jimmy Saville, taking down the 'Teflon Don' John Gotti and even having to pull the trigger to stop a terrorist on a murderous rampage on the streets of London.

I’ll sit down with these brave men and women to hear their first-hand accounts of these events and how they got there.

The greatest challenge was yet to come with Ret’d D/Sgt Craig Semple

Craig Semple was a career Detective within the NSW Police Force for 25 years. Much of Craig’s career was invested in `high risk’ law enforcement including drug investigation, the investigation of outlaw motorcycle gangs and homicides.

Craig has just completed his autobiography titled “The Cope who fell to earth”

In this raw and unflinchingly honest autobiography he gives a rare insight into the difficulties and dynamics of criminal investigation. Crime scenes described in vivid detail provide a front-row seat to the challenges of trauma, while gripping narratives of covert operations shine a light on the shadows cast by despair, greed and power at all levels of society.

The Cop Who Fell to Earth is Craig Semple’s story of transformation and profound personal growth through exposure to extreme life events. As compelling as a thriller, it is a story of how human endurance, tenacity, sacrifice and belief in something beyond the self ultimately lead to the triumph of good over evil.
