The study provides a summary of strategic priorities identified through interviews with provincial and municipal officials. This is followed by a closer look at tackling energy poverty, focusing on improved community engagement – drawing on conversations with community members, civil society and government representatives.

Project 90 by 2030 hosted a media briefing in Cape Town on the 30 January joined by representatives from the Energy Governance Initiative SA (https://www.egsa.org.za/). During the briefing, EGSA experts encouraged media organisations to put pressure on Government in order to gain commitment from Government and stakeholders to ensure that they make Climate Change the pressing issue of our times.
