Josh Ford Head Strength Coach for the University of Guelph

Josh has been the head strength and conditioning coach at the University of Guelph for 7 years and has spent a few years at the D1 level in the NCCA with two different basketball programs and has worked with Canada basketball and many other teams over his career. I sit down with Josh to break down some very common misconceptions about the industry and get the views of a veteran coach.

Josh has a lot of great insights into many things in including autmony of clients and atlhetes and how the coaching process is a process and not a set of rules exactly laid out as such. As well as some great takes on specificity in a strength and conditioning program and what roll strength should play in it.

Josh also has some very good advice for those industry when it comes to longevity and your own and managing life when your a strength coach or fitness professional. Be sure to have a listen to this podcast a lot of valuable information in here
