About Professor Jonathan Shaw

Deputy Director (Clinical and Population Health), Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute


Professor Shaw is an international expert, physician and leading researcher in diabetes. He has authored over 400 peer-reviewed scientific papers and 35 book chapters, and is Chair of the Diabetes Advisory Group to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, Council member of the Australian Diabetes Society, and a Past-President of the International Diabetes Epidemiology Group. He has won multiple international awards for his research, was recognised by Thomson Reuters as one of the World’s Most Influential Scientific Minds, and is included in the Clarivate list of the world’s most Highly Cited Researchers
