Life is good and the leaves are changing. This week I'm talking about the fall fun we got into with the kids, how I've somehow got a "deep fake" impersonation of me on Al Gore's internet, and we are back with another batch of Love Is Blind episodes to unpack (starts at minute 22). The drama heats up as the couples return to Denver to see if they will be able to fit their new loves into their old lives.

This beautifully executed final chapter in the story for our beloved characters was a real treat to watch and to discuss with you. Hi Friends! This week based on your feedback and continued excitement over The Gilded Age finale I decided to dive a little deeper into one of our favorite depictions in the show: The Black elite societies in America (in particular the Northeast). Pop culture as a whole right now seems to be obsessing over this group of people as well and with good reason (7:58 if you want to skip right to it!). I'll discuss the themes related to this fascinating group that we saw in The Gilded Age and also how they relate to a recent TV and fashion focus on the historically black parts of Martha's Vineyard. I'll also let you know how this ties into our next entertainment focus: Netflix's limited series, "Sirens". I have restrained myself from bingeing it and will start covering next week.
Lastly I get into the (short) trailer for the new Downton Abbey coming this September. Happily overwhelmed with the period drama goodness that only Lord Julian Fellowes can deliver!
