Healing After A Long Term Relationship
*TRIGGER WARNING* Are you recently single and trying to pick up the pieces? Do you have feelings of shame or guilt? Do you want to know when coping ends and healing begins? Two years post-breakups we sit down and talk through the feelings we experienced after our long term relationships ended. Seven stages of grief, functional alcoholism, and casual hook-ups, we did it all. Jessica talks about her intense anger and it's not directed at quite who you'd expect. Monique shares how she masked her pain behind a brave face and how people pleasing kept her in denial longer than it should have. Get a peek inside our healing journey and learn the importance of surrounding yourself with a community you feel safe in. This week's episode is somberly uplifting? Is that a thing...? We definitely went through hell and back, but at least now we can joke about it, right? Relationships don't always work out how you want them to, but the duo encourages all who are healing to take their time, grant themselves grace, and to remember there's a lesson in the mess.
