What if stepping into your most powerful self didn’t mean doing more—but being more? In this episode of Pretty Intentional, we’re going beyond the buzzwords and diving into the essence of divine feminine energy: what it really is, how it’s been buried under hustle culture, and the practical, soulful ways you can awaken it.
Candice gets deeply personal—sharing her own journey of shifting from burnout to balance, from survival mode to softness. In this episode of Pretty Intentional, we’re redefining what it means to be strong. Society tells us that strength looks like being tough, independent, and always in control—but what if real power comes from softness? We’ll explore how embracing ease, grace, and feminine energy can make you stronger, not weaker.
I’ll share personal stories, dig into why softness is a revolutionary act (especially for Black women), and break down how choosing ease in relationships, friendships, and even the way we speak to ourselves can transform our lives.
Listen in as we discuss:
Why true strength isn’t about being hard, but being intentional
How softness can shift your relationships and self-perception
The historical weight of rest and ease for Black women
Practical ways to invite more softness into your daily life
Because when you lean into softness, you don’t lose your power—you step fully into it.

I’ll be sharing my experience mentoring young girls and the impactful exercises we did to build confidence — from "Pass on the Pretty," where they gave non-physical compliments to one another, to "Mirror Mirror," a powerful self-affirmation exercise that moved many of them to tears.
We’ll talk about how societal pressures have historically challenged Black women’s confidence, and how while affirmation from others feels good, true confidence starts within. By embracing self-love and acceptance, we set the foundation for healthier relationships and a more empowered life.
