As we walk on our spiritual journey, it's easy to lose direction or replace God's will with our own ways. But through the story of King Saul in the Bible, we see a clear mirror—a reminder of what truly forms the foundation of spiritual life.
Saul was anointed as the king of Israel. He was tall, handsome, and initially humble and obedient. But over time, he lost his reverence for God. He was unwilling to wait for God’s timing and took matters into his own hands by offering sacrifices. Instead of repenting when he was wrong, he tried to justify himself. Though he looked successful in the eyes of people, he lost his kingship and calling in the eyes of God.
This message starts with Saul’s life and invites us to reflect:
Who is truly the King of our lives?
Are we willing to wait on God's timing and seek His heart?
When we fall short, do we defend ourselves—or choose humility and repentance?
A true spiritual restart isn’t just about changing our outward behavior, but turning our hearts back to God.
It’s about learning not to think too highly of ourselves, but to build one another up, honor each other, and live as true children of God.
