He reminded us that the root of sin is not only in our actions but in our thoughts and intentions. When love and desire are distorted, people easily treat others as tools for their own satisfaction. But Jesus came to restore within us the true capacity to love. He teaches us to courageously cut off the entrances of temptation, stay away from the gray areas, and set healthy boundaries, so that our hearts may once again return to the light of God. True love is not self-centered or consumptive—it is faithful, honoring, and giving. When we turn to God and admit our need for His help, He can heal our wounded hearts, set free the spirit bound by lust, and empower us to live once again with purity and dignity.
