Christina Gonzalez Sattesahn joins host Alex Umole to discuss her experience as an Assemblies of God Pentecostal immigrant living in South Florida and her social justice perspective. Christina is an executive pastor at Plainview First Assembly. She argues that social justice is often associated with progressive ideologies. Therefore, there has been a strain on the relationship between the Pentecostal church and the concept of social justice.
Preach Freedom is a conversation starter featuring ordinary people such as laity, pastors, and professionals in secular workplaces having honest and unfiltered conversations about social justice and the church's role. The ideas and perspectives discussed are then contextualized to South Florida to seek ways local Pentecostal churches can embrace new strategies in social justice to impact the lives of people in society beyond the four walls of the church.
