Practitioner research - for iPod/iPhone
The Open University
14 episodes
How does a researcher collate and analyse information? What are the best methods of investigating/examining a question? Despite not always being well received within the academic community many practitioner researchers would argue that their research is unique as it brings an insider perspective to educational research and it’s particularly valid as it comes directly from source. By immersing themselves in a given subject they can identify critical issues, and discover new perspectives on old research. The following collection looks at the methodology used by practitioner researchers and the different ways they can interrogate data and prepare it for analysis. Developed with Open University academics Mary Kellet (Professor of childhood and youth) Janet Soler (Senior Lecturer in Education) these audio tracks cover everything from how to formulate a research question through to a project’s final dissemination...... E805 - Critical issues in equity, diversity and educational practice
