What is "perfect" anyway? Life is hard enough without the constant strife for a concept that doesn't exist. I wanna talk about the hard, the sad, the messy, the REAL parts of life, that we often feel we have to hide. Let's start celebrating the times we get back up after falling down and trying again. #progressnotperfection

Content warning: race, racism, sexism, violence against women, assault, suicidal thoughts.
This week's episodes sees myself and fellow podcaster Lea unpack the week that was. The week beginning the 8th of March (International Women's Day 2021), ended in discussions over police brutality, racism and negligence, violence against women and the object denial of a Black woman's suicidal thoughts by British morning talkshow host, Piers Morgan.
With a lot of people asking, "It's 2021, why are these things still happening?", Lea & I delve deeper into the issues at hand, sharing our personal experiences, with the sad conclusion that we weren't so shocked by the headlines. Whilst we have of course made huge progression as a collective to fight these issues of social justice, the charge being led on social media is not reflective of the culture and attitudes we experience offline.
