Author of Sex Ed, a guide for adults, Ruby Rare talks to Naomi Cooper-Davis about the universal issue that is comparison, and wishing we were more like others. With a rise in projected "perfection" online from the most popular eyebrow shape, to the filter like plastic surgery, to envy of someones life style or job, young people are growing up consuming these idealistic, filtered, shiny versions of each others lives, but many are unable to see that it is just that, a projected version of perfection, and that of course underneath, we are all messy, complicated, vulnerable humans with feelings. Ruby and Naomi talk body positivity, the pressures of social media and ways to protect ourselves when we struggle to love ourselves. With lovely tips for supporting others when they're in that place, and some gorgeous feel good moments, its a wonderfully healthy reminder to turn off your phone, look in the mirror and love yourself.
