Fate, Kismet, Qadr - a complex concept that few can grasp let alone describe, yet this unexplainable invisible force drives us daily to accomplish the unexpected and realise human feats that others can only dream of. For decades I have been fascinated by the way Fate / Kismet / Qadr works. How it plays a pivotal role in our personal lives from childhood into adulthood and how it plays a pivotal role in our professional lives. I have reflected endlessly on how much power do we really have over our destiny? My name is Akmal Saleem - over the last 15 years I have been a venture builder travelling the world trading and learning different business cultures, having moved to Saudi Arabia 10 years ago I advise some of the world’s wealthiest families, sports and business personalities though my advisory firm Qadr Financial. Qadr for me is a complicated relationship between power and destiny because I have felt an interaction and interchange between power and destiny throughout my experience: whenever I have felt utterly powerless I found that destiny took over, and when I felt I had assumed power of my life, that destiny slowed down. This concept has been well studied and documented within religious and philosophical spectrums and we will be exploring these as they clearly play a significant role. However my focus and mission is to discover with my guests and audience the physical and tangible journey of Qadr that they have been through.
