I've gotten a lot of DMs about not being able to watch it because its so triggering or loving it and I wanted to break it down so that you could understand the similarities even if you've never watched Handmaid's Tale or plan on never watching it. Consider me your exmormon vid-Angel on all things Handmaids Tale! There is mention of r*pe and suicide, I don't go into any details of specifics but take care of yourself. I draw parallels with the dystopian narrative of The Handmaid's Tale and Mormonism. I discuss the control over sexuality, reproductive rights, the dynamics of patriarchy, and the societal pressures faced by women in both contexts.
