Society has a way of making people feel like they are only worth the amount of work they put in. Because of this, when people feel like they’re not doing enough, it can cause some to lose their self-esteem. I feel like this issue needs to be talked about because, especially in college, you start to see constant LinkedIn posts, which stir up questions like, "Am I doing enough?" You start thinking, "My peers are doing and posting this; I feel less than them because I'm not." This episode discusses the dangers of feeling that way, why you shouldn’t place your worth in the amount of work you put in, how to prevent that feeling by taking time to “smell the roses,” and more.
In this episode, I debunked the "Nonchalant Dreadhead" stereotype, how changing that perspective into optimism leads to a growth mindset-ultimately changing your life for the better. I connected it all back to the power of tongue and keeping your faith, all facilitated by my favorite scriptures found this week :))
My first ever episode where I'll be talking about the importance of being true to yourself, envisioning who you want to become, and setting the "stepping stone" goals in order to get there.
