Bem-vindos ao meu podcast.

Hoje vou falar sobre uma expressão idiomática muito comum e muito engraçada: Acordar (wake up) com as galinhas.

Então...? O que significa?

Significa acordar muito cedo, exatamente como as galinhas.

Imagina: são seis da manhã, toda a cidade ainda está a dormir mas tu já estás a acordar. Isso é: acordar com as galinhas.

Mas porque é que os portugueses dizem isto?

Porque no campo, as galinhas acordam muito cedo e começam imediatamente a *chicken sound* ...

Então, quem acorda muito cedo, acorda com as galinhas.

Esta expressão nós utilizamos quando uma pessoa costuma acordar muitas vezes cedo.

- Então, já acordaste?

- Sim, às 6 da manhã!

- Ui... então acordaste com as galinhas!

Da próxima vez que acordares cedo, tens de dizer com orgulho " Hoje eu acordei com as galinhas".

Os portugueses vão adorar ouvir-te dizer isso...
