Point of Origin opens 2025 with South Korean supergroup, Balming Tiger. The group functions more like a multi-media art collective than a band, with nine members who do everything from songwriting, music production, and video direction, to A&R and artist management. Balming Tiger are also progenitors for a new kind of K-Pop, calling the multi-media mastery of the genre while retaining majority control of their music, which is anything but traditional. Despite political tension making global news in Korea, Sameer connects with both the band's frontman and their founder/creative director to discuss K-Pop, dreams, and the peril of too much ambition.
