Forever
I’ve been looking for comfort,
bleeding in the corner.
Screaming I’m not a victim,
when the facts can barely support it.
I re-victimize myself every day,
and In my thoughts I ponder.
Can I find a way to escape,
or will I finally start moving forward?
Do I have to run away,
or will I rise above the slaughter?
There has to be a better way,
and I will walk the path beside her.
Not a thing can save the day,
but in our love I’ve found, Forever.
