Dr Rhian Williams and Dr Kirstie Blair are lecturers in English Literature in the School of Critical Studies at the University Glasgow. They created these podcasts as a way to introduce students to some fantastic poems and suggest ways of thinking about them. The podcasts demonstrate the type of discussion that might take place in a university-level seminar. They also show that there are multiple ways of interpreting a poem, that there isn't always a right answer, and that even people - like us - who may have been working on and thinking about these poems/poets for years will constantly come up with new or revised ideas about how the poem works. Poem texts to accompany podcasts are available on Poetry Podcast site (see URL links).

Rosetti: A Better Resurrection (video)
One of Christina Rossetti's intriguing religious lyrics, a poem that might seem simple but - in the course of our conversation - turned out to be more complex than we had necessarily anticipated. Podcast created by Dr Rhian Williams and Dr Kirstie Blair of the School of Critical Studies at the University of Glasgow. Poem text available on Poetry Podcast site (see URL List).
