Ep 291: 30 Years of Connecticut Hardcore with Jay Reason

In episode 291 of the podcast, we’re joined by Jay Reason to take a 30 year look back at Connecticut Hardcore. Jay needs no introduction, with his involvement in Voice of Reason, The Distance, Blackened, Static Era Records, War God Collective, Diablo’s Den Podcast, Stillborn Records, etc

We talk Jay’s come up in the 90s attending shows, starting bands, memorable shows, the evolution of 90s to 2000s, all the way to present - where Jay is still heavily involved with his label and store (Static Era Records). We hit on all the classics: Venues (The Tune In, and more), Bands (Hatebreed, Voice of Reason, Death Threat, 100 Demons, Fastbreak, The Distance, and more), and end with Jay giving his Rushmore of Connecticut Hardcore.

Episodes like this are the reason we started this podcast 5+ years ago.
