podHER interviews is a podcast to simplify your health and wellness journey. Every week, journalist and health coach Nathalia Novaes explores with her guests what it truly means to take care of ourselves.
We are a Latina-run organization founded by ballerina and activist Ingrid Silva to inspire you to tap into your power. We combined the word 'poder' with 'her' because we believe her inner power can transform her journey.

Rising from Loss: Beth's Inspiring Journey Navigating the Unthinkable
Thank you, Beth, for sharing your impactful story; we are so proud of you.
Trigger warning: mental health and suicide.
Elizabeth Christopher Epenyong-Barnes, a board member of PodHer, has been an integral part of this community for five years. Born in Rio de Janeiro, she graduated in Journalism. She spent a decade working as a styling and set design freelancer before moving to New York, where the journey we discuss in this episode began.
In this episode, Beth shares, for the first time, a tragic event she went through last year. Some of the takeaways from today's episode include raising awareness about the mental health of black men, how to cope in the aftermath of tragedy, finding strength in community, and the power of habits and moving forward, even when things fall apart.
